Volunteer Walk and Talk Buddy
Mind in Gwent are looking for a walking group volunteer in Abergavenny.
The Walk and Talk group encourage people to get out into nature and enjoy a friendly local walk.
A volunteer is required fortnightly on a Wednesday afternoon 1.00pm – 2.30pm.
As a volunteer walk and talk buddy you will welcome people to the group, start and maintain conversations and support the walk leader.

Reception and Administration Worker
To act as a first point of contact for people experiencing mental health and wellbeing problems responding to phone, online, email and face to face contacts in a professional and compassionate way treating everyone with dignity.
To provide administrative, reception and finance support to the services, clients, staff and volunteers of Mind in Gwent to ensure the efficient running of the organisation.
Responsible to: Head of Wellbeing and Counselling Services
Salary: NJC 8 – 14 £26,824- £29,540
Hours: Part-time 30 hours (9:30 – 15:30) Monday to Friday
Location: Newport

Mental Health and Wellbeing Worker
To act as a first point of contact for people experiencing mental health and wellbeing problems. Responding to phone, online, email and/or face to face contacts alongside the reception and administration team providing regular support and cover when needed such as annual leave and sickness.
Responsible to: Head of Wellbeing and Counselling Services
Salary: NJC 8 – 14 £26,824- £29,540
Hours: 37
Contract: Maternity Cover Until 31st December 2026

Trauma Informed Project Worker
This role, as part of Mind in Gwent’s new National Mind funded trauma-informed support project, will provide trauma-informed mental health support to young women, girls and non-binary young people aged 11-24 and their families in Newport.
Responsible to: Whole School Approach Project Coordinator
Salary: NJC 18 £31,537
Hours: 34 p/w
Contract: 1 year fixed term

Clinical Placement Opportunities at Mind in Gwent Counselling Service
We are seeking Volunteer Counsellors to offer one-to-one weekly counselling to a minimum 3 adults weekly.
- All trainee applicants must be on a Level 4 course or above, or in their 2nd year or above of a recognised/accredited training institution
