Rise Again is a trauma-informed project funded by National Mind, providing support to young women, girls and non-binary people aged 11–25 across Gwent.
Being trauma-informed means recognising the impact that adverse experiences and trauma can have on the people we support. It shapes the way we work, helping us to provide an inclusive, equitable and compassionate service where young people feel safe, respected and supported.
We offer eight one-to-one support sessions for young people, with the option of two parent support sessions, followed by two restorative family sessions that aim to restore communication and improve family relationships.
Our one-to-one sessions focus on helping young people develop resilience and healthy coping strategies in a safe, supportive environment where they can explore their experiences, express their feelings and find a positive way forward.
