Lace up for our Mental Elf Festive Fun Run
Sunday 6 December 2026, The Riverfront, Newport

Following the success of last year’s event, our Mental Elf Festive Fun Run is returning to Newport, and everyone is welcome!
This fun, festive 5km event is all about bringing people together, raising awareness of mental health and wellbeing, and raising vital funds to support Mind in Gwent’s work across the local community.
The mostly flat, paved route follows the river and passes some of Newport’s best-known landmarks, offering an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and discover more of the city. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or would rather walk, stroll or take things at your own pace, there’s a place for you.
Elf fancy dress is very much encouraged! The event is open to all ages and abilities (children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult).
